A friendly match between academics and administrators in the opening of “AlEtihad”
A friendly match between AAU academic and the administrative staff was held in the opening of Al Etihad Football Championship in its season two, in the presence of Dr. Noor Al Deen Atatreh, AAU Chancellor, academic and administrative members and a huge number of students.
After a competitive match with a high atmosphere of enthusiasm, the academics won with 6 points vs 4 for the administrative.
AAU Chancellor expressed his happiness with the launch of Al Etihad Championship for the second time, which promote the concepts of honest competition and encourage the sports talents. He also thanked all the organizers for their efforts, congratulated the academics team for winning the friendly match, and wished the best to the teams in the upcoming matches.
This match considered as an opening for the season two of “Al Etihad” Football Championship, which is held in the new stadiums at Abu Dhabi campuses. The administrative unit organizes the championship in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs annually, in conjunction with the UAE 47th National Day.
