A Special Evening of Appreciation and Giving
Al Ain University organized a special celebration on the occasion of Mother’s Day and International Women’s Day, through an evening entitled “Evening of Appreciation and Giving”. The event was held under the organization of the Deanship of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Tolerance Club, the National Identity Club, and 4 You Medical Center, at the university’s campus. The evening witnessed wide participation from female students as well as members of the academic and administrative staff, in an atmosphere filled with warmth and gratitude for the invaluable contributions of mothers and women to society.
The program of the evening featured a variety of activities that combined both entertainment and benefit, including engaging competitions for students and entertaining segments designed to foster a sense of camaraderie and harmony within the university community. Valuable prizes were also distributed to participants, as a gesture of recognition and appreciation for the role of mothers and women across different fields.
Prof. Ebtihal Abu Rezeq, Vice President for Development and Follow-Up Affairs and Dean of Student Affairs, emphasized during her address that celebrating these two occasions reflects Al Ain University’s commitment to its social role in instilling values of respect, appreciation, and gratitude. She also noted that such initiatives align with the university’s approach to promoting student activities and programs that enhance awareness of human and social values.
Participants expressed their happiness with this initiative, highlighting the sense of joy and pride it brought. They stressed that honoring women and mothers is an acknowledgment of a continuous journey of giving and a recognition of their pivotal role in building both family and society.
The evening concluded with commemorative photos capturing the spirit of belonging and pride in this humanitarian occasion, reflecting the esteemed status of mothers and women in Emirati society and embodying Al Ain University’s mission to spread values of love and appreciation.
