Panel Discussion Explores the Future of Education and Scientific Research
The Deanship of Student Affairs – Al Ain Campus – organized a panel discussion via Microsoft Teams titled “Education and the Prospects of Scientific Research,” with the participation of a distinguished group of academic leaders and student researchers, as part of efforts to promote academic dialogue and exchange of knowledge.
The session featured the participation of Prof. Ghaleb Awad El Refae, University President, and Prof. Haythem Bany Salameh, Dean of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, along with student researcher Bakhita Al Ketbi from the College of Communication and Media. The session was moderated by Prof. Ibtehal Mahmoud Aburezeq, Vice President for Development and Follow-up and Dean of Student Affairs.
The discussion highlighted the institution’s role in supporting students and developing their research skills by showcasing key initiatives and programs that enhance their capabilities in scientific research. Participants also discussed the importance of student engagement in research projects and the knowledge and experience they gain, which contribute to their academic and professional development during their studies and beyond graduation.
The session emphasized the positive impact of scientific research in preparing qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market demands and contributing effectively to society. This initiative coincided with the celebration of UAE Education Day, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to its leading role in supporting education and scientific research, and in preparing a knowledgeable and innovative generation capable of addressing future challenges and contributing to sustainable development in the United Arab Emirates.
