A Workshop Entitled "Electronic Archiving" in Al Ain University
The Deanship of Students Affairs at the Al Ain University, Abu Dhabi-based, organized a workshop entitled "Electronic Archiving" by the Eng. Ahmed Osman Ahmed, an expert in electronic archiving at the Juma Al Majid Center for Culture and Heritage. The attendees were members of the academic and administrative bodies and a number of university students.
The workshop was structured around the general concepts of archiving and material equipment and software for electronic archiving and how to plan for the transition from traditional to archive, email archive, indexing, cataloguing and digitization of archive operations in addition to the practical applications on the latest software and hardware in the electronic archiving.
