An open health day for breast cancer awareness
The Deanship of Student Affairs at Al Ain University (Abu Dhabi Campus) organized an open health day, in cooperation with Reem Hospital, coinciding with World Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The health day included various free examinations and medical consultations provided by Dr. Jumana Abu Draie, who explained to the students the importance of early detection of breast cancer as it is the best prevention, and explained the mechanism of self-examination for breast cancer.
She also talked about cases in which women should consult a doctor, stressing the importance of radiological examination, or what is known as mammogram examination, for women over the age of 40, and women who have a family history of the disease, whether it is a mother, sister, or daughter.
