A lecture entitled "A Society of Knowledge and its Digital Contents” at AAU
Organized by the Deanship of Students Affairs at Al Ain University of Science & Technology-Abu Dhabi- in cooperation with Dr Rami Abboud, a lecture entitled "A Society of Knowledge and its Digital Contents", where at the beginning of his lecture he spoke about the historical background of the content, the roots, then how it developed in conjunction with the development of the a humanitarian society, as well as the methods of production and transmission of knowledge that has access to digital content in a contemporary society.
Dr Abboud has also touched on several points related to the subject asthe most important: what is a digital content, its fields, methods of production and broadcast, its size compared to non-digital content, its location within the structure of a society of knowledge, its rising in parallel with the development of the society. It also reviews some of other digital contents like: "digital media compared to paper media", and "e-commerce” compared with traditional commerce and other phenomena.
Finally, the doctor discussed the future of a digital content, and how it can change our lives, the crisis of knowledge in general and the digital content, in particular. The lecture was attended by a number of university students and their professors.
