The Creative Student Forum encourages scientific research and promotes innovation

Al Ain University hosted the 21st Creative Student Forum 2019, organized by the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity, which emerged from the Association of Arab Universities, entitled the role of entrepreneurship and scientific creativity among Arab university students in the renaissance of the national economy, which lasted for a week at the University headquarters in Al Ain.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Amro Ezzat Salama- Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, Prof. Abdul Karim Al-Qudah- President of the Arab Council for Student Training and Creativity and President of the University of Jordan, Prof. Ghaleb El Refae- Al Ain University President, Prof. Fawaz Al-Zghol- Director of the Arab Council for Student Creative Training. And more than 100 participants and guests.

Students participated with 36 researches, who were from 7 different countries; United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Palestine and Oman.

This forum aims to encourage the scientific, cultural and artistic activities of Arab university students, through presenting the researches to committees. The researches varied between 3 aspects: the applied sciences, the humanities, and the artistic creativity. Where 9 students from different Arab countries won, One of them was for student Mariam Al Marzooqi from the College of Communication and Media at Al Ain University. 

The Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities, said that, the Creative Student Forum is one of the initiatives supported by the Association in order to build the Arab human and create qualified and trained scientific competencies to develop the future of the nation. He praised the efforts of Al Ain University to host the forum and work hard.

The President of the Arab Council, pointed out that, this cooperation between Al Ain University and the Council enhances the efforts of both parties to develop youth, refine their skills and discover their creativity, expressing his pride in his presence at Al Ain University, which is one of the prestigious higher educational institutions in the UAE.

For his part, AAU President and the Chairman of the Higher Committee of the Forum, stressed that, this forum promotes the exchange of experiences and benefit from knowledge and science that will enhance the practical application of advanced scientific research, and provide solutions proposed for their development. He pointed out that scientific research is not limited to, faculty members only, but must be encouraged and motivate students to complete research and benefit from it.

Dr. Ibtehal AbuRezeq, Chairman of the Preparatory Committee of the Forum and Dean of Student Affairs at Al Ain University, said that, hosting of the 21st edition of the Creative Student Forum was a result of Al Ain University's belief that young people are the future, therefore, this step came to encourage the students of the Arab to innovate and keep abreast of the world developments.

Al Ain University hosted this forum to support scientific research and researchers to serve the community and contribute to its development.
