Panel Lecture Discusses Personal Status Law Developments in the UAE
The Deanship of Student Affairs, in cooperation with the College of Law at the Abu Dhabi campus, organized a panel lecture titled “Personal Status Issues in the United Arab Emirates,” delivered by lawyer Saeed Al Mansoori, in the presence of a number of university students.
The lecture addressed the latest developments and legal updates related to personal status laws in the UAE, with particular focus on divorce cases and the rights of both women and men following separation. It also discussed the rights of custodial parents and children, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the child’s best interests and ensuring family stability in light of recent legislative developments.
The session further highlighted the pivotal role of UAE laws in promoting justice and maintaining balance between family members, in line with ongoing social and legal advancements. The lecture concluded with an open discussion, witnessing notable engagement from students whose questions and contributions enriched the legal dialogue and enhanced the academic value of the session.
